Weaving Witness

Weaving Witness is a gospel ministry that uses handwoven towels as gifts to open doors for sharing the hope of Jesus Christ.

Every towel is woven by hand as a reminder of God's faithfulness. They are offered as gifts, with one purpose—to encourage others and point them to the Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave me a second chance at life.

Bill’s Story:

Threads of Grace

Seeing God’s Faithfulness in Every Thread

The cardiologist walked into the room, looked me in the eyes, and said, "You need a heart transplant—and possibly a lung transplant.”

Those were the last words I ever expected to hear. As my mind raced, I asked the only question I could think of:

"What's the plan?”

Every piece of cloth begins with individual threads. By themselves, they seem ordinary. But in the hands of a skilled weaver, each thread is placed with purpose until a beautiful pattern begins to emerge.

As I look back on my life, I realize God has been weaving my story the same way.

For years, I only saw individual moments—some joyful, some painful, and many I didn't understand. Today I can see that the Master Weaver was faithfully weaving every thread together for His glory and my good.

The most important thread began when I was twelve years old. At a gospel rally with my Aunt Deborah, I realized I wasn't just someone who knew Bible stories—I was a sinner who needed a Savior. I heard that Jesus Christ died for my sins, was buried, rose again, and calls us to repent and believe in Him. That night, I placed my faith in Jesus Christ. Looking back, I can see that every part of my life since then has been shaped by His hand.

Years later, as I was wheeled into surgery, there came a moment when I could do nothing more. The surgeons and nurses would do what only they could do. My family and friends would pray.

And I would trust.

I placed myself completely into the hands of my Heavenly Father.

The doctors removed my failing heart and lungs. They skillfully implanted new ones. They stitched everything together with incredible precision. Then God did what only He could do.

He Healed Me!

Looking back, I don't see my recovery as the work of one person alone. I see God working through a donor's selfless gift, skilled physicians, compassionate nurses, faithful therapists, loving family, devoted friends, and countless answered prayers. The Master Weaver used every one of those threads, but every thread was held together by His faithful hands.

When I first heard the words, "You need a heart transplant," I asked, "What's the plan?" Today, I know the answer. The plan was never simply a transplant. It was to know Christ more deeply, to witness His faithfulness, and to share that story so others might come to know Him too.

My prayer is that you'll finish reading and ask, "Who is this Savior who has been so faithful to Bill? I want to know Him too.”

If that becomes your question, I would be honored to introduce you to Him.

John 3:16 — For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
